Sources are quoted as saying that an officer from the Chicago Police Department killed himself on Tuesday morning.

Around 9:00 am, emergency officials, reported CPD’s Homan Square facility in the 1110 block of South Homan on the city’s West Side.

The officer has not yet been identified and the manner of death has not been officially released, but two sources have told WGN News that the officer has committed suicide.
